Winter Days at Moonlight Basin

We can hardly wait for opening day here at Moonlight Basin and the good news is we only have 23 more days to go. That’s 23 days until we can explore 1,900 acres of fresh powder, relax, take in Montana ski country and live it up with the rest of you for the 2011/2012 ski season. We hope you are as stoked as us for this upcoming season, because each year just continues to get better and better. If you plan to spend a day, weekend, week or all season with us at Moonlight, check out how we like to spend our days (when we’re not working of course) until summer season hits.

Wake-up call. Once that sun rises over Lone Mountain it’s time to wake up, grab a hot cup of coffee and a solid bite to eat. While you’re enjoying your breakfast and getting ready for the big day ahead, take in the views and terrain just waiting for you to uncover.

Day Adventures. Since there is so much that can be done in one day here at Moonlight Basin, we’ll go ahead and break it down by our favorite activities:

  • Ski & Ride Moonlight Basin is home to 1,900 acres of groomers, tree glades, challenging steeps, a huge terrain park and of course all that fresh powder. It doesn’t matter what your skill level is, you’re bound to have an epic day that will leave you wanting more.
  • Spa After hitting the slopes all morning what better way to relax and recover than our exclusive spa. Choose from invigorating facials, massages, scrubs, body wraps and more. Our spa also serves as the perfect place to be if the whole family is up on the mountain and you’re in need of a long overdue personal day.
  • On Mountain Fun We have a wide variety of sledding options for you including; downhill sledding, dog sledding, sleigh rides and snowmobiling. Depending on what you’re looking for each of these offer a certain amount of excitement and entertainment for all. Downhill sledding may be one for the family while snowmobiling will take your afternoon from 0 to 60.
  • Snowshoeing Experience what most people will never see. Enjoy nothing but Mother Nature and all she has to offer through the wildlife, scenery and snow covered trees. We offer two trails that will leave you speechless; The Ulerys Lake Trail and Lee’s Pool Trail.

Après. Regardless of what your day at Moonlight Basin entailed, this is the way to end it. The town of Big Sky is packed with a wide array of delicious restaurants, happening bars and relaxing coffee shops. Treat yourself!
