Volunteers like Hamilton, along with local businesses, Big Sky Resort Tax District, The Big Sky Chamber of Commerce, the Montana Department of Transportation, and others have worked tirelessly to help design and implement this program. Phase 1 is slated for this June with the installation of 2 Welcome Signs along Us Highway 191 and 12 additional directional signs throughout the region. Not only will these signs will help visitors navigate through the Big Sky and Yellowstone areas, but they will do it in true Big Sky style. Staying true to our mountain roots and inspired by the traditional color scheme found on mountain trail maps and ski runs, Find The Way signage will utilize the black diamonds, blue squares, and green circles skiers know and love. Black for Moonlight Basin and the Mountain Village, blue for the Meadow area, and green for the Canyon area.
